Adding additional drivers to your car rental agreement in Canada
You are allowed to add additional drivers to your car rental booking. Read on to learn about the rules regarding additional drivers.
All our car rental partners will only require the name of the main driver at the time of booking and the additional drivers will then be recorded at the time of pickup.
Each car rental provider has different requirements concerning additional drivers, but in most cases, the driver is asked to present their driver’s license at the depot and sign the rental agreement.
The fee for additional drivers varies per car rental provider and can be viewed on the “Important Information” box during the booking process or the car rental provider’s Terms and Conditions.

Important InformationBefore you add an additional driver
Some of our car rental providers consider a renter’s spouse, domestic partner, employee or employer (in certain circumstances) an authorized driver. This means they may be exempt from paying the additional driver fee and may not need to be at the rental depot at the time of pick up. If you are unsure, you can contact our Customer Care Team.
