Yes, there are a number of toll roads and bridges in Canada. If you are planning on traveling in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island you may be required to pay a toll on certain roads. Here is a list of some of the main toll roads in the country:
Generally, you can pay for toll roads in Canada online, or over the phone. You can commonly pay with Visa, Mastercard or American Express. You will also have to pay a toll for each border crossing into the United States and back into Canada. At some border crossings, you may be able to pay in cash for the toll.
Note that you are responsible for the charges resulting in the use of any cashless toll road or bridge (i.e. 407 ETR or the Golden Ears bridge). To avoid confusion, VroomVroomVroom has put together a quick guide below.
