More information on Saskatoon Airport
The Saskatoon Airport was founded in 1929, providing a home to the Saskatoon Aero Club. Since then it has been a station and flight school for the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II – and again in the 1950's – a “graveyard” for the military's airplanes until 1978, and finally a commercial passenger and cargo airport after the City of Saskatoon annexed the site in 1971.
Once you arrive at YXE, it's about a 15-minute drive in your car rental if you have business or a hotel room waiting in downtown Saskatoon, less than 7 kilometers away. It's just takes a few minutes more to drive your rental vehicle north to suburban Martensville, which is 17 kilometers north and about 17 minutes thanks to the highway. Or perhaps you're flying to Saskatoon Airport and need to book a cheap car rental to get you to North Battleford?
